Fitur LGBT
The first edition of FITUR LGBT 2011 was held in January 2011 within FITUR, the world's most important tourism fair along with the Londoner WTM.
The Tourist Board of the City of Madrid promoted this initiative and commissioned Diversity Consulting.es (R) the organization and management of the FITUR LGBT Forum (both participants and content).
A total of 6 panels divided into two working panels were organized throughout the 3 FITUR professional days.
The conference forum counted with over 42 high profile speakers from the 35 most important companies and organizations related to human resources diversity, LGBT business and tourism, both nationally and internationally.
Also during FITUR LGBT a historical fact took place that changed history towards LGBT normalization.
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and IGLTA formalized in a ceremony at the most senior level of both institutions, the first entry into the WTO of a LGBT organization.
We had the honor of hosting the announcement of this important milestone in the first edition of FITUR LGBT.

The volume of business and networking achieved by participants in forums and presentations, attendees and exhibitors was greater than expected, consolidating the success of FITUR LGBT.
This has turned into the continuity of this initiative - preparations for the second edition of FITUR LGBT during FITUR next January 18, 2012 have already started.
